Me and a few buddies want to do a pheasant hunt and none of us have ever killed anything in south dakota so we are wanting to try to make it happen. Anyone know of a good guide/outfitter up in that area?

I personally dont know of any, I lived there for 7 yrs, but what I do know is that you want to start looking around Gregory, Winner, and Pierre SD areas.

Buy the cheapest pair of pantyhose you can find. When you get that one bird you want taxied, shove it in the hose. Keeps the feathers in place.Comment

About 20 miles south of Mitchell, South Dakota. Was just there before Thanksgiving. I highly recommend this outfit and will be turning this into an annual event. The owner also has his own cheese company in Dimock and has quite a variety of cheeses that they produce. Be sure to stop in there and pick up some.
There is also a Cabelas at Mitchell if you need ammo or extra clothing.Comment

I go every opening weekend. I hunt family land but I have hunted Biggins in Gregory one time. They are a first class operation and I would highly recommend them. I am sure there are cheaper options and many ways to DIY. Have funComment
