Do you think TPWD will ever start making bowhunter education mandatory for bow hunters. Seems like so many who enjoy this great sport of ours could seriously benefit from a little knowledge. I know a lot of the information seems elementary, but I'm amazed at the numbers of "bowhunters" that seem to not have a clue.

1) How many years you hunted?
2) How many years bowhunting?
3) The details of your knowledge and how it compares to these "bowhunters" that appear to be lacking. What specifically do you possess that they need to become proficient that a class might entail?
4) What you have done to educate these folks?
The reason I ask..while I have been hunting for 45 years and bowhunting for 17, I admittedly still have a lot to learn. It's what this site is about and what better place to educate a concentrated audience!Proud member since 1999

Wish they would make it mandatory for more texas public land areas but not for private land. Hagerman and out of state hunting are the only ones that require it that I'm aware of, and I think lake georgetown has kicked around the idea of requiring it but don't yet.Last edited by bossbowman; 12-21-2016, 08:25 PM.
