REal question...how did you know it was the space station? I know there is an app called something like skywatch

They have been announcing it on our local news for about a month now. I don't know where they got their info from, but they said it would be visible from 6:05 till 6:11, and they were spot on.

On a side note, one of the last shuttle flights ( same type of deal on the news ) came over our house. Mind you, we are 3 miles as the crow flies from any town and our closest neighbor is over 1/4 mile away, not to mention we live way up on a hill. So with all that being said, we have near zero ambient light, making for good star gazing and space craft watching.

It's been in the news for awhile. It was coming over Longview about a month ago. I think there were 5 or 6 days it was visible. We had clouds the whole week :-/.

It was cool, I mean nothing more than the sun reflecting off of it, but still cool to see it. The wife was telling them Merry Christmas and "make America Great Again" LOL!

I don't know how far up it is or any details, but it gets you to thinking about what it would be like to be onboard and all the things they are doing that we will never hear about.
