Light Bar Questions for Polaris Ranger

    What size? 40" or 50"
Single (5w) or Double Row (3w)
Curve or Straight. Does the curve spread out the spot beams or is it mainly for aesthetics?

Will be using for shooting hogs once spotted with qbeam.

    Thanks

Personally I like the curved and no bigger than 40".. I have a 32" double row with spot/flood combo and that sucker lights up the world!

I have had both curved and straight. I can't tell a big difference. Most have spots in the middle and floods on the outside. I can see if the spots were on the outside how it would help with a curved.

What I have learned is you can buy the cheap ones on line and spend $6 on some silicone and have one just as good as the expensive ones. I have a 40" on my Ranger that I paid less than $100 with a harness. I siliconed the crap out of it and I have had no issues with condensation inside the lens.

I have a 22" nilight I bought from amazon for about $35. Been great so far. It also has a 2 year warranty.

Depends on where you want to mount it for size. I have a 40in rigid spot flood on my rhino, but had to buy the bull bar bracket mounts then buy another set of mounts to get it to mount properly. It looks good and was easy. If mounting it between your roll cage above your head I'd go that route. It's clean and simple. I've seen guys mount em on top of their roofs also.

What is the output of the alternators on UTVs these days? A guy has an older Polaris Ranger on our lease and a 40" dual row will kill his battery even when driving around.

12" straight on my Ranger, honestly don't know why you'd need more. It lights up a really long way way out there and enough left to right to see where your turn is. But then I'm not a speed demon.

I have 2 7 or 8 inchers on the back of mine and agreed, the smaller ones do light things up pretty well. I just bought a new Pioneer 1000-5 and I ordered the same lights plus got 2 of the small cubes that I intend to mount on the sides near the rear that will be aimed outward to the sides at about 45 degrees for side lighting... It will truly be like daylight all the way around mine I'm sure!

curved 54 inch. I don't have the curved 104 inch because it won't fit.

Works great and really lights up the world. I wouldn't want anything brighter, this does the job just fine.

42" 240W Combo spot and floodlight.
