Any TXDOT or former TXDOT employees here?

I've been with the department since I was 19. I've got just about 5 years under my belt, I was just curious if there are any more out there we might even have already met and don't know it. I have been in the seguin maintanence office since I started.

I retired back in 2013 from Johnson Co. Area Office. Construction records keeper.
My wife is also retired with 40 years. The last 25 at the Fort Worth District office.
Pay wasn't and isn't great but it's steady. When I and my wife went to work for the Highway Department the benefits were very good. Not so much when I left.

If you can handle the politics and low pay it can be a full filling career. Best of luck to all you new and young TxDOT employees.

I thought there would have been more Txdot employees here.

Was a summer hire in college for 4 summers. Loved working there. For a college student the pay was great. OP you may work with someone who I did I think he transferred to seguin. Kevin Seider
