What's wrong with this buck?

Saw this buck a few weeks ago with what looked like a gore or maybe a head shot gone wrong with a small caliber rifle. Maybe even a snakebite.




A few weeks later he looks like hammered dog poop in the face and Skinny said you could hear him breathing heavy and dripping green snot. Looks like infection setting in now.

He got hit with an ugly stick !

Gore would be my best guess

I bet he makes it thru whatever happened to him.

He was definitely eating corn just fine...but he looked a little rough and I could tell he was struggling to breathe through his nose as his mouth would open and he'd kind of pant to catch his breath after sniffing the wind for a bit.

We had a buck just like that at the end of season two years ago. I tried to get him for three weeks but could never get him. He got shot by one of the lease members early this year. He scored 148 and change. You could still see where the scar had healed. Deer are really tough
