Smart TV vs Satellite

Looking for input regarding the two. Pros/Cons for each. Are there limitations I still have a non-HD satellite box was planning to just upgrade. Someone mentioned the smart tv doing basically everything satellite will do and got me wondering if it is a better route. My main concern is watching live sports.

We just got a smart tv and I guess I'm the dumb part. Only thing that I've got to work is utube. I'll stay with my satellite.

I love my smart tv. Not sure why I still even have sat because we never watch it.
