    .410 and Hogs

Anyone use a .410 to hunt hogs?
What's a good shell to use?

    Thinking of getting a 12 ga, but I've got a 410...

Slugs,000 or 0000 buckshot is about your only option I'd imagine.

Slug is about your only choice with a 410.
Not many buckshot in a 410 shell.

Hope it isn't a very far shot.

Plus a side arm and some good running shoes.

          Slug and a prayer!

Don't take me wrong, that .410 slug is a chunk of lead and it'll get the job done. So will a .22 in the right spot.

Like shooting them with a .38 special.

We've killed Deer and pigs with 410 slugs on numerous occasions. Actually very effective just like shooting one with a pistol

Brenneke slugs are about as good as it gets. I'd shoot a hog with one in a heartbeat.
