I've had a remote for 5 or 6 years never had a problem with it. I call it the "pig call" if you have a group of pigs come in and the big boars will hang back in the brush. Push the button and most of the time he can't stand it and comes in.

The remote will work at 150 yards with good batteries for sure.

I keep one remote in my truck and one in my backpack. I use the one in my truck to test the feeder when I'm in the area to give me peace of mind that my feeder is still working and I hunt with the remote that's in my backpack.
Hope that answers the question and makes sense. Lol

I bought an all seasons timer with remote together from Oasis in Uvalde for around $ 90.00 a couple months ago. Thought it might be cheaper and work just as good as a $ 60 "the timer" and $ 100 " the remote"
It didn't work for more than 10 yards away. I called all seasons and they sent me another complete unit right away. Their response was great. The unit they sent me worked fine out to about 100 yards. A couple weeks later I was in my bow stand and I couldn't get the remote to work at 30 yards away. Timer functioned but the remote didn't. I now have to see if I can return one to Oasis.
lesson learned, going to get "the remote" now. Wish it would have worked better. If I could have saved about $ 60.00 per feeder it would have added up across the lease.
