We had a horse with several when I was a kid. Dad put the mouth of an old school coke bottle over the larvae and hit the butt of the bottle with his hand. Things came out with terminal velocity and hit the back of the bottle.

Never saw one on a dog. Had a show heifer that had dozens of them. We did the pop bottle method. It's great fun.

I just told my Dad the same after telling him the story...he didn't heed my advice.

On my pup, it looked like ingrown hair/acne bump. He kept on nipping at it so my Bride tried to pop it ... that's when the bot peaked it's head out.

Same here. Show steer and heifer both got them. Coke bottle and then purple spray on the area.

Never got them on our horses or roping calfs and steers. Don't know why.

Humans can get them as well on your neck, a guy on the show monsters inside me got them from sleeping on the ground.

Follow up...I think my wife figure out the source.

Jesse spends most of the morning and afternoon stalking bunnies that live under our deck and go back and forth between the neighbors back yards.

                  Time to kill some rabbits!!!

Found one that came out of a deer head I was cooking for a euro mount this week. Sucker was near 1-1/4" long and already black. Bout ready to hatch out.
Musta been up his nose somewhere.
