    10 round mag for AR

I know this seems counter, but i'd prefer to hunt with a 10 round mag for my AR for reduced weight and to not have that banana hanging from the bottom of the gun.

Anyone else hunt with a smaller magazine? I just can't imagine a hunt so productive i would need 30 shots.

I'm not even sure where to find one?

Academy, gander, cabelas, etc. I think most box stores carry them. Matter of fact I'm in your same boat and it's on my Christmas list cause I don't want to hunt with a 30rd clip either.

cabelas didn't have any, but it looks like Academy does.

        10 round mag for AR

Yes. I have a few 10 rd magpul mags for the ar in 223 and another brand for my CMMG MK47 Mutant in 7.62x39. Pretty sure I got the magpul at academy. Not sure what caliber you shoot.

I also use some 20 rd aluminum mags for the ar as well. They work good.

Yessir... Use a 10 round mag for my 6.8 and AR-10. They fit flush with the bottom of the mag well.

I love my 10 round mags. Hunt with them all the time. P-Mag only for me.

20 and 30 rounders are only good for target shooting, IMO. (I haven't found myself in many combat situations, so no experience there)

I only use 10rd mags for hunting. Lancer mags are best for this.

Yes indeed, the 10's are good for hunting and bench shooting. From personal experience, when the target shoots back, the 30's ain't big enough. I remember always crying about how heavy a full combat load was until SHTF, suddenly 210 rounds wasn't so heavy lol

20 round is my favorite. I do alot of walking when I'm predator huntin. It's a little less weight and I also prefer a 20 over a 30 if I'm sighting in my rifle. A 30 round magazine hits on the shooting bench.

I also prefer the 10 rounder. The others get in my way and I'm hunting pigs not charlie.

Tens for me too. AR 7.62X39 and 6.8 both. Thirty's get hung on too much stuff.

10 is what I use 99% of the time. Midway or Brownells have them
