Whats up with Walmart

I was in Walmart yesterday morning getting stuff for work. I went to the magazine section to get me a Traditional Bow Hunter Magazine and they had nothing. No hunting stuff at all. They did have plenty of the low rider and motorcycle magazine with the ladies in bikinis and stuff like that. I wonder if this will be normal or just in there transition stage. Just seems funny that the rack was FULL. Just was wondering if anybody else has noticed this. This is the store in Humble.

BTW no fishing either.

If you look in the sporting goods section, they will most likely have a smaller section dedicated to fishing, and smaller to hunting. They pander to the demographics of the store, and if something doesnt sell, they wont stock it.

The new one here in the Woodlands is the biggest in Texas they said. It has zero hunting. But they carry a sack of corn. Go figure.

I was thinking the same thing. The magazine seems to sell good because they are always out of my Traditional bowhunter and several others. The section in the sporting good are not the ones I want to look at.

I wonder if they really understand what an impact it's going to have on there revenue, if they were to quit carrying hunting stuff. Hunters and other outdoorsmen pour hundreds of thousands of dollars if not millions into local economies, every year. A sad dat indeed.

A lady manager told me that Walmart will eventually get rid of all there hunting stuff and replace those isles with other more profitable stuff!!! My walmart is slowly dwindleing as far as selection goes, so I bet it wont be long!!!

I reckon they go by demographics. here, they have plenty of hunting/fishing and diesel power mags. not to big on the low rider stuff
