    Creek Stompin For Points

For the past week and half or so, my family and I have had some good luck while stompin around in the creeks in our area. But first, here are some good ones Brett found in the hill country a couple of weeks back plus an old buffalo tooth.

    A beautiful sharp Nolan point.

Today we decided to head out to one of our favorite places that usually coughs up an artifact or two almost everytime down. Well, we had a little luck today.

Here is a little knife blade I found.

And these are our creek finds over the past week and half. The pieces on the bed are old indian pottery that I found today.

These are some of my personal finds that I keep in a shadow box. Chrystal, Colton and Brett have their own little personal display which I'll get pictures of before long.

Cool stuff, Johnny. Do you find everything on top of the ground, or are y'all digging and sifting?

A little bit of surface looking and a little bit of sifting. Lots of fun!

I believe my wife got this shadow box at a store here in Conroe called Hobby Lobby. I'm not sure if they are a chain or not. I hardly go to that place.

That is an awesome hobby to share with the kids! Are you finding those in or near "indian mounds"?

                              Very cool.

Where do you find them? I don't mean specific location but are you looking in gravel bars, on the creek bottoms, near logs, etc..? I took my son out yesterday looking but came up with nada. What type of area should we be looking in?
