Bummed out little boy

Hey guys it's been a little while since I last posted but I still lurk, laugh and learn at the posts on a fairly regular basis. Anyhow, I am posting because I have a severely bummed out 8 year old little boy. We were all set and ready to go down to the hill country for his first overnight camp and deer/hog hunt and it was just cancelled. The roads going into the lease are flooded and there is no easy way in. He was super pumped to go and is very heartbroken and crying over it.

I want to take him somewhere close to the FW area for a Hog day hunt to hold him over until we get down to the original place in Jan. Do you guys have any suggestions for a budget minded dad? Thanks

I can't promise you anything for sure but I have a small 215 acre place North of Decatur that's setup for bow hunting yall could come to. There so many acorns on the ground there's not a lot coming in like clockwork. PM me if you're interested.

I have one feeder on my place that is only hogs on a regular basis, but we are quit a drive from you and I could only do it on weekends.
Hope you find something close for the little man.

Well I guess I needed to be home this weekend. 2 of the 4 of us are down with the bubbly gut and all that comes with it. Thanks for the generosity fellas. I am always amazed by the folks on the Green Screen and their generosity and willingness to help. What a place!!!
