    Apple Watch

My wife has been hinting around that she wants one for Christmas. Any of your significant others wear one and actually use any of the functionality? The second generation, specifically, waterproof. I can't see a non-hipster wearing one, so that rules out all the guys here, right?

Dude, it's ok if you want to wear an apple watch, I'm sure a lot of men do. Just none of the men I know!:-)

Honestly not for me. I haven't worn a watch in years, and don't plan to. A fitbit is the extent of my wrist attire.

I just don't understand their purpose. Why do I need a watch that acts like my phone when my phone is in my pocket?

Get a real watch that will last a lifetime with that kind of coin, not a watch that will break or be obsolete in the next few years.

Personally I think its a fad, like 3D tv was a couple years ago, like google glass was last year, and like virtual reality will be in another year or two.

I've been wearing one for a year and it's OK, if you want to know what time it is

Well actually not all of us can have our phones out to see texts or missed calls while we are at work... i have a Samsung smart watch and I LOVE it for that reason. I get my texts on my wrist, see my incoming calls... this lets me know if my hubby or one of my kids is calling me while im at work, it's an emergency and I need to make time to call them back.
