    New release!

Ok, so I've been bowhunting for about 5 years now (can't remember exactly). Thus far, I've been shooting and enjoying the use of my Tru Ball releases. I've had a couple and settled in on the particular model I liked. The strap was starting to wear a little bit. So, I've been thinking about getting a new one. There was a thread last week or so about releases and there were several guys that said that their Tru Ball had broken and they ended up punching themselves in the face. And, me being the manly man that I am, I didn't want to punch myself in the face, knock myself out, fall out a tree and break the ground and my bow with my head. So, I decided to try a Scott. I picked up the Mongoose XT. I haven't even shot with it yet, but it sure is nice. I think I'm going to really like it once I get it all adjusted and get used to it.

    That is all.... carry on!

Great release! Only release I've ever used so I don't have anything to compare it to. On my 2nd mongoose now. 1st one is around 20 yrs old & still works flawlessly!

This is the release that I have used to 12 years and I absolutely LOVE IT!!

Winn Archery Equipment Co's Free Flight Bow Release. C10 C12 Loop Hook & Relax trigger bow hunting releases. Better than TRU-Ball, Tru-Fire, Carter & Scott Arrow Releases

The difference in the one on the site and mine is that mine has the PULL trigger...NOT the release trigger.

My brother bought my Scott mongoose for me for Christmas a little over 20 years ago.
          Still works like a champ.

Cobra Safari for me. Went in for a Scott and got talked out of it mainly because the Cobra was what the owner of the shop used.

That looks interesting. Last year I went with a thumb release. Great for target, not sure I like it hunting.

Have been hunting for quiet a few years with a thumb release and will never go back to anything else. But this is something about like bows, it all depends on personal likes and dislikes.

Look at the Carter Quickie 2. It's served me well for a lot of years.

I have got to switch to a thumb. Every once in awhile my Scott hits a nerve in my wrist and I can't hardly pull my bow back without extreme pain. Plus I don't like taking my eye off the prize to hook up a release
