    iPhone problems

I have an iPhone 6s and ever since I updated to ios10 my phone has basically went to crap. Horrible battery life, resets its self 15-20 times a day and won't connect to wifi. I took my phone to apple and they said the only way they could fix it is to reset my phone back to factory and I would loose everything in my phone. And since I can't connect to wifi and when I hook up to my computer it won't recognize my phone to back it up. So my question is how can I save all the stuff in my phone. Most importantly all my texts?

Nice design by Apple.....con people into doing these updates, right before their new phone comes out, and those updates create so much chaos within your phone and gets you so frustrated, you buy another phone. It's a racket.

I usually never update my IOS, but I had to in order to download my banks new app. I now have 10.1.1 and haven't had a problem. You may want to update to the current IOS as they worked some of the problems out.

I had the exact same thing happen a month ago to my iphone 6. I never did the updates and I hit the wrong button on accident and it updated overnight. My phone would die in less than an hour every morning. The only way it would restart was to plug it into a charger and then magically it would be at 86% battery. It would just shut off randomly.

Anyway, I took it to Verizon and had a new phone the next day at the house. Followed instructions, backed it up via icloud, swapped the SIM card into the new phone and it's good as new.

My battery life has gone to crap also and my phone constantly dies between the 20-35% range.....

Also it'll jump 10-15 % from when its unplugged to plugged for charging.

Good luck on your quest and I'll be following

Hindsight is 20/20, first of all always back your phone up first, then update it.

Just like a computer backup your data before updates.

Wifi and Bluetooth always on that will drain the battery fast.

This is why I switched to Android. Love my Samsung s7. Battery is awesome, wireless charging is the best thing ever and I have not had any issues with updates.

Give me a freaking break. Your tinfoil hat is on too tight.

                        1. Sorry this happened—tech stuff failing is never fun.

                        2. You should have backed up a long time ago instead of waiting for your phone to crap out. That's on you.

                        3. Do you have iMessage turned on (in other words, are your texts blue)? If yes, you should be able to sign into another Apple device (computer, phone, iPad, iPod touch) and your old messages should appear on the new device.

I thought I did but when I was at the Apple Store they said it had never been backed up.
