    Black rifle question...

I'm sure alot of yall are getting tired of hearing questions about these dang things but man I want one . basicly I'm asking which one should I get I'm planning on buying a complete rifle in .223 but not sure which one I'm only looking to spend about 800.. not sure if that's enough or not but I'm hoping it is. So any suggestions?

I bought a Smith and Wesson M&P 15A for about that much but it was after rebate. I have really liked it. I know that pretty much all of the reputable manufacturers make a good gun though.

You can probably get a Bushmaster in a basic A2 platform for that.

check out gunbroker.com and then go to ar15.com. look in the equipment exchange section and see what they have there. locally, 800 will be hard to pull off, because they are all hyping the AWB really hard.

shopping and building one out, $700 was about as low as it could be done, BEFORE the O was elected...
$800 will requires some legwork and patience while you wait for backorders to catch up...

So would I be better off just building one?

IMO you can get more gun for the money by building one.

get a lower, then a varmint rifle kit from rangersales.com or model1sales.com. 535 for the kit then however much you spend on a lower

Depends on if your happy with the stock and trigger they are offering on the complete lower. If you are, then its fine. If not, stripped and finish it yourself.

if you get a kit, you get the LPK with it, so thats why you only need a lower. you can always get an upgraded trigger grp to use instead.

armalite sells a complete rifle for under $800.

I don't have any experiene with it, or even know anyone who has shot one, but it's an armalite... can't be too bad. It's basically a plastic lower though... not sure how that would hold up.
