Where is that from? I have been checked several times before wearing orange camo and they said nothing about it.

Kryptek had their Inferno patterns 35% off. Still not real cheap, but it's a neat pattern.

            So then there's this
            "Hunter Orange
Hunters must visibly wear 400 square inches
of hunter orange including 144 square
inches visible on both the chest and back,
and a hunter orange cap or hat visible on the
            head. Hunter orange camouflage patterns
may be worn. Hunters may take off hunter
orange at hunt blind or stand."

That is just for Atascosa. Looks like at least one WMA manager isn't afraid of common sense. Probably all he's worried about is some duck hunters; no rifles, muzzle loaders, and/or slug guns.

I really don't care whether you "buy" it or not.

The usda makes this "rule" very difficult to find. I think a court of law would probably dismiss the citation should one be written, since it is so vague. However, I am not a lawyer and I didn't even stay in Holiday Inn last night.

I have emailed the tpwd to see what they have to say. I have a feeling they'll say it's up to the WMA and whatever the NF guidelines are

I have been told by in multiple states (texas included) that blaze orange camo does not fulfill the blaze orange requirement (where it is applicable). So I can imaging that if in most states this holds true why it would be hard to find. Why make it if it doesn't fill the legal requirement of blaze orange, and if it doesn't solve that issue who would want it.

I know in the NF it only specifies the square inches minimum and that's it. Cabeles sells this on and it specifies it has a 600 sq in min not camo. So the way I read it that's 300 inches with the camo. But that's a 3/4 vest. A full best should exceed 400 in blaze/camo.
