So I'm fairly new to duck hunting. I did a little last year with a good friend, as well as made one hunt of my own. My questions are: Can you hunt teal during the regular duck season? If so, do teal count toward your six ducks? or can you shoot a separate total of 6 teal in addition to your other 6 ducks?
I realize that we have an early teal season in September, but the hunting guide doesn't address teal during the general duck season. It lists your bag limits for all kinds of other ducks during the general season, but doesn't mention the bag limits for teal. Under the "Teal" section of the guide, it only lists the September Teal Only season and bag limits. Under the General Duck Season section of the guide, it says you can have 6 of "other species not listed." If you can't hunt teal during the regular duck season, why would they name it "Early Teal?"
Once the regular season rolls around, I'm planning on heading out to do some duck hunting again and would like some clarifications before I start blasting away at birds... Any information on this would be greatly appreciated.
