Track identification?

What kind of track is this? It looks canine to me but it is huge compared to my 80lb dog for reference. This is near the East Fork of the San Jacinto river bottom in Splendora. It was traveling with another animal that was smaller. It is almost 3.5" across.. way to big for a coyote.

Female. Just gave birth to a litter of 2 cubs last week. Slight gimp in her back left leg....separate injury not related to the carpal tunnel.
