Grouping issue on my son's bow

My son is getting old enough to shoot a bow out to about 30 yards, and there is an odd stringing pattern going on. I am certainly no expert on form or setting up a bow.

going from 10 to 15 to 20 yards, the arrows are dropping like they should, but they are dropping diagonally from towards top right to bottom left about the same amount they are dropping. Roughly, from 10 to 20 yards, the arrows drop about 4-5 inches, and move to the left about 4-5 inches.

is this a tuning issue, or form? or both?

Sounds like a rest issue. You need to do a walk back tune or a modified French tune to get the rest in the dynamic center of the power stroke.

Read this thread on how to do both.

Thanks for bumping that thread, Rat. Awesome info in there. I've heard about walk back tuning before, but I never knew how the whole process worked.

It's easy once you know how!
