To corn or not to corn

I am hunting some family land. I put out a couple bags of corn during bow season, and most is still there. found a spot where we have seen some deer every sit, mainly doe but a couple shooters(just didn't get a shot). going to hunt hard Thurs, Sat evening and Sun(gotta work Fri and Sat morning)> we haven't put any corn out since bow season. should I slip in there Wed night and put out corn and take a chance of spooking the deer or just leave well enough alone?

The two shooters have been spooked but not blowed out of there. one slipped in from where we least expected it, and other one(could be same deer)seen me shift in my chair, then some duck hunters started shooting and he trotted off.

    thoughts?

    Leave it alone.

If they are consistently hitting a spot without you enticing them there, then you do nothing but slip in silently and hunt.

That's kinda what I figured. After thanksgiving I may start hand corning on sundays and hunting the next weekend.

do you think any doe pee or doe in heat would work still? first time I saw the shooter he was with a doe. but have saw a few doe in open field but no bucks with them.

I have a spot that I use the hitch feeder on my truck and dump corn when I drive by. Deer don't mind it and they are used to it. They'll be coming back all week checking if it's been refreshed and when I go out on the weekends they know the sound like no other. Now in your situation if it's never been done in that spot before I would say don't do it and risk running the deer out.

If your area has had a frost, I'd corn. They probably didn't hit your original corn because there was plenty other groceries at the time. Now maybe they have less options...I'd hand corn about 5 lbs broadcast really good and thin. Good luck. Hope you get one.

Seeing does and bucks every morning around 8:45 for last three days. Pretty nice racks but just not quite legal or just too young. One buck crawled through the fence yesterday afternoon right at dark 5:45. This is doe weekend as I am in Wood Co. don't know about VZ.

Yea we are on doe weekend too. Only buck i couldve shot was a 7pt thats young. Pretty nice headgear on him. The shooter(s) i saw aint monsters by no means, but are around 14-15" wide and pretty tall. Pretty deer, id say 3.5-4.5yo. I dont run a camera. If i or my daughter kill one, itll be on of my best trophies because(1) it was killed on family land(2) we have hunted it for 3-4yrs and are just now starting to see deer and (3) its a free place to hunt thats about 3mi from my house.

Theres more land there, just no way to get to it without atv/4x4 truck.
