The best is Jerry Huffaker. He's not the cheapest, but he's the best.

All my mounts have been done by Todd Yaddow in Merkel. He has gone up on his price since my last mount so my buck from this year will be done by True 2 Life taxidermy (Cody) in Abilene (phone # 325-701-9474). I have looked at his mounts and spent over an hour just talking to him in his shop one day. I am going to give him a try and see if his work is as good as his display mounts look. I have nothing bad to say about Todd's work. I really like all my mounts that he has done. I just can't afford it with my budget, anymore.

Of course the very best is Huffaker's, but you will pay for his work, also.

I hear that Jim Allen is not accepting work from anybody that is not a return customer. You might call him and find out for sure on that. Also, I don't know what he charges these days. I do know he sent some one to Cody just the other day.

Stennits in Baird does a great job and is fairly reasonable 500 on shoulder mounts pm me for his number if interested!

Todd Yaddow for me. He has gone up a bit, but he is the best behind Huffaker. He will shoot you straight, and provide a quick turnaround. Taxidermy is his only profession.
