    Emergency Laparoscopic Appendectomy

Headed to the lease Thursday morning and out about Abilene I started having lower abdomen pain that thought was gas. By the time I got to the lease I could barely get out of the truck. Went in the house and took some milk of magnesia and laid down. The meds went to work right away and I spent the night making runs to the john. Friday morning I took a double dose of tylenol and head home 260 miles. I never even stopped at my house and drove on to Baylor Medical in Grapevine where they told me I had an appendix about to burst. The infection had not made it into blood stream so I was lucky. By 5 pm my appendix was out and I was resting easy on the la-la land cocktail the gave me for pain. This is about the worst pain I have ever endured for that long.
Home now and still sore from the 3 holes they poked in me. Doctor said that I wouldn't have lasted another 24 hours in the shape I was in. Sure did hate to miss the rutting activity. The other guys at the lease did well with a 135" 10pt, a big 9 pt cull and 3 more does as of last nite. Sucks but I'm still alive.
Maybe I can get back out after Thanksgiving.

Good thing it was caught in time.

        As FND said, "Kill stuff!"

Some folks don't' know how to listen to they're body well enough to know when they need real help.

I have a high tolerance for pain and that ain't always a good thing but this was definitely getting my attention from the very start. Now for my morning dose of tylenol and a nap

              Glad things turned out OK.

They came up with Laparoscopic about a year after the wife had hers out. They slit her stem to stern to get at it.
