Rice bran is basically the outer layer of the rice it's left over after harvest (at least I think so) I use the rice bran meal deer seem to tear it up where I'm at in SE Bexar county.

I get it from my local feed store it's about 8$ a 50lb bag. If you look at all the deer attractants it's usually pretty high on the ingredients list.
