Accidental test. Scent Killer only, from now on

I have always used whatever scent eliminator that was available. I mostly used Hunter Specialties and DDW. We went to the opener of gun season in Kentucky last weekend and the temps got cold. My son had brought a bottle of Scent Killer Gold and I had my Hunter Specialties. One night it got below 28 and we forgot our spray sitting on the bed of the truck. I grabbed the bottle for my morning spray down it was frozen solid. My son was spraying himself down with no problems. The Scent Killer didn't have a hint of being frozen.

Does that mean that Scent Killer has some alcohol in it or something that would keep it from freezing? If so does that make it a better product or just when it's cold?

I'm just asking because I don't know which product is better at providing scent elimination overall.

I had a freezer get unplugged several years ago. I didn't notice for a few weeks. Scent-a-Way spray got rid of the smell. No other brand for me from now on.

Looked at both bottles and neither one has the ingredients listed.
I've used Scent Away alot in previous seasons. All I know is that the Scent Killer Gold didn't freeze and the Scent Away did. Used the Scent Killer throughout hunt and did't get busted. a

So you choose it because it doesn't freeze, not because it may or may not (it isn't) be the most effective at scent control?

I use right guard aerosol for scent control. My 8 year old son uses gorilla gel and Twix candy. Had 12-13 deer all around us tonight in a ground blind with windows open (3 deer within 5 yards) and not even a stomp. Glad you found something you like, but give a Twix a try next time. :-)
