    Meat Processing Near Austin/Cedar Park?

Does anyone know of a good place to get meat processed in the Austin/Cedar Park area?

Where is everyone taking their deer/hogs?

    Thanks!

There is a place in Liberty Hill.

    Brizendine's Deer Processing
    Darrell and Becky Brizendine

    352 West Vaughan
    Bertram, TX 78605

    512-355-2897
    512-470-2891
    512-470-2897

    That is the closest place.

Kliens Meats 251-3300 Pflugerville - Mom and Pop type shop that does a ton of processing every year. VERY clean! I don't think they will process wild hogs though.

Klein's is the only place I would go- I do my own but sometimes have them make summer sausage for me.

I primarily use Kleins but like Hudson's (on S. Congress) for their jerky and bacon wrapped chopped steaks. Hudson's will also process hogs.

Hudson's is great........have them make some venison fajitas for you......Just stay away from their dried sausage......They have great jerky and pan sausage as well.......

I like their dried sausage. Is there something I should know? Fajitas are good, too.

Mike's Barnyard off 29 in Liberty Hill processed deer, but I've never used them.

Heard good things about Brizendine's, and he's a good guy.

Hudson's jalapeno/cheese sausage is second to none IMHO. Their jalapeno/cheese summer sausage is great too. Ditto on the fajitas also.

I just don't like the flavor or the way it is made. Most of my hunting partners and friends don't care for it either. It's the only thing they make that I don't like........Of course my FIL's is second to none when he doesn't use too much pepper......
