    2017 Mathews hunting bows

Im like a kid on christmas eve. Pretty pumped.. From the leaked pics and what mathews has told my shop, looks like it going to be a 33" halon 5, 6, and 7 for sure. Im interested to see what else they drop.

I will own a Halon 33" with a 6 inch brace height. Now if only i could get it in 80 pounds lol

          Their up. 32 halon looks good. A new women's and a kiddos bow that's 1k!!! That's a lot for a youth bow!!

^^^^^^^exactly what I was thinking!!!!! I love my kids, but your not getting a $1000.00 bow. Nope. Not happening. I love the looks of those 32" Halons, and I was shocked by their prices, affordable. I was really hoping for a new "Monster" lineup or something. I've been eyeing that Wake for a very long time, but just can't justify that price.

I'm pumped with the 32. I was hoping it was a 33. But 32 will do.

As far as the kids bow I wish they made a good bow like that when I was young. You don't buy a bow like that for a kid getting into it. But no doubt I would get my kid one if they were big into 3D

How did they make it heavier? The riser is the same length as last years Halon. I guess the kid and lady bow markets are growing. Very disappointed again....moving on to another brand.

my mouth dropped open when i saw the price. They are great bows no doubt but i cant justify spending that kind of dough on a bow that is exactly like last years model but with slight tweaks in ata, and brace height. The youth model is pretty neat but my boy will most likely get something around half that price. Same goes for my wife.

                    I noticed that,
even the youth model is heavy at 3.78 lbs.

Little man needs a new bow and the Stoke looks awesome. Off to West Houston Archery!

i think it is a great off year release. Mathews is a lot like Apple. Release a real new product every other year. In the off years, they tweak the existing platform.

it saves on manufacturing and the dealers are happy that existing equipment (draw mods, accessories, etc.) still work for another year.

this is coming from someone that doesn't currently shoot Mathews. had a Chill R for a little while. but, i respect what they are doing.

It's funny seeing how certain people don't get excited about certain bows. I am absolutely pumped with this release. 30" is to short for me but I love the halons. My halon X is awesome but slow and heavy for packing around the mountains. I think they hit it out of the park with this one.

If your a whitetail guy and only shoot 20 yards then ya the original one is fine. If you hunt out west and shoot long range the ata matters

I liked it until I saw the weight. I will stick with my 2016 halon but looks like a sweet bow
