Tried both. Seems the aluminum was more forgiving for some reason. Didn't exaggerate my bad habits as much. Maybe just me but that was my take

The defiant aluminum riser for me . Stuck my first deer with it this month and I really like it paired with my single pin sight . I made the switch from a older Mathews and love the defiant

I have a carbon defiant 30 and was the smoothest and quietest bow ive ever shot. Shot a buck in early bow season with it. Unfortunately im selling mine because i cant really bow hunt anymore without being in pain from a shoulder injury

I also shoot a single pin HHA optimizer sight and loved it. With 6mm FMJ 320 spine arrows. Used to have a blue color kit on it
