After looking at the weather and knowing this may be the last calm warm couple of days, my wife Brooke and I decided to head to Matagorda Wednesday for a little bull red kayakin'. We used to do this about every weekend, but since the baby came 4 months ago, we've only been 4 times.
We were greeted at the beach with these beautiful conditions...
We paddled out about 300 yards, anchored up and within about 5-10 minutes, I was hooked up. BENDO!!!!!!!!!!!
Brooke then began hooking up with 2 in a row within about 30 minutes...
This goes on for about an hour and a half! We had an absolute blast. I then hooked up on a nice 43" bull red with a spinning rod on a gulp pogie with 15 lb test line. Big Fight.
