Edwards County rut?

We were in Camp Wood last weekend and it wasnt on yet. We did see one 4 year old chasing pretty heavy, but that was it. The others had no interest. So I assume that particular area had a hot doe and the rest arent in yet.

Killed several bucks chasing does Dec 7-9th. As others said Thanksgiving till mid December.

Got here Friday night Northeast of Rocksprings. No sign of rutting other than a recent broken G3 on one of the bigger 8 pts. Had a doe and a spike under the feeder this afternoon and he did not even try to bump her.

Was out there last weekend at our place south of Rocksprings. Every buck we saw over the 3 days we were out there, was nosing does around.

Friends are at our lease right now. Not seeing any mature does at feeders until after dark. Feeders full of young bucks. Mature bucks are CHASING HARD after breedable does. Chasing everywhere and don't care about anything else. So I would say they're being bred right now. So next week or the week after should be heavy feeder activity. I'll be there Dec 15-18 during that heavy cold front. Can't wait!

Edwards County is pretty big, which part? My posts refer to the SE portion of Edwards and I would say its going full steam right now and fixing to wind down over the next few days.
