I hunted about 3 miles South of the lake this weekend. I didn't see any does at all. Saw a couple of nice bucks. I took a nice 9 with about a 3" kicker. I always wanted a kicker and or drop tine. Good luck. I have seen some great deer around the Rochelle area.

Congrats on your kill. We generally have some nice deer start showing around now. Hopefully we are in for a good year.

Was off of 190 this weekend. Had several bucks chasing does. Not just bumping them but nose down and hauling it. Have never seen that this early.

Good luck to you. I think with the full moon coming next week and the cooler weather starting the next few days, I think it might start to pick up a bit. Acorns are hurting numbers in San Saba right now, but still plenty good deer showing up to feeders.
