Took down my biggest buck to date. I had been hunting hard with a bow but was not really getting any opportunities. I decided I would gun hunt this opening weekend and the stars aligned.
I had does and some nubbins hanging around me and this 9 decided to come in and make himself known. He was broadside at 80 yds and took him down.
The gun actually slipped a little as I shot and I guess I got lucky, it went forward about 6 inches and he dropped like a sack of taters
I didn't get to take a buck last year because we were chasing a buck that my brother had made a bad shot on. Chased him throughout all of 15-16 season with no luck.
