I once returned a propane grill that sat in my backyard covered for six months. I still had the tags and receipt, still looked new. They took it back and I got a full refund in cash.

If you had a receipt then this is bs the only time I had a issue was when I bought a pair of reddington waders on sale for 180 and the lady said keep your receipt because if they mark it down again you can't get what you paid for it just what mark down price is without receipt. So yea you're getting played. Take it to another one with your reciept. Where are you located?

So you dropped it on a rock and broke it and decided to return it?

never had an issue however why not just sent to the manufacturer? probably fix the problem for free.

Academy is not the like it used to be since they changed ownership. I've had to call corporate offices on certain Academy Stores for similar issues. Sometimes it's that one young employee working at the service desk that tries to use their own version of store policy.

Bought my wife a Xbow there one time. Was a total poc. They said all fire arm sales are final. I said it's not a fire arm it's a "Cross Bow" and its a PIECE OF CRAP!!
                    They gave my money back.

It fell off the tree because it was one of those browning straps that really never hold. It's shattered the case and wouldn't turn on anymore so I took it back and they replaced it.
