Vets - Dog has eye discharge

Looking for any advice.

4 month old yorkie, healthy to date. Starting to have difficulty keeping eye open and has yellowish/green discharge. Not lethargic, but obvious the eye is irritated.

Wife wants to take him to emergency clinic. My wallet is telling me he will be fine until tomorrow.

Let me know what you guys think.

Vets - Dog has eye discharge

Wipe it out, squirt some contact solution in it to rinse out any debris, and then just watch it the rest of the day. Very likely that there's something small in there that may have scratched the cornea a little.
