Flea problem

Well it seems one of my dogs must have brought some fleas home. What is the best thing to spray in the yard to get rid of them. Dogs have been treated now just need to treat the yard.

I've put granuals out more than once and it hasn't been the answer. Last year I had to spray once or twice a week on top of spreading granuals. It still took a couple weeks to notice a difference.

Adam's topical flea spray is good to use on pets since it has no residual effects. It has been around a long time. Use a flea comb afterwards.

Spray weekly for six weeks to break life cycle up enough to do any good.

I use Bifen and it works great. They say treat every 30 days but if it's a bad infestation, I would do it again in 2 weeks. Also, if you get a big rain, might not hurt to treat after things dry out.

Be advised that Bifen when wet can be hazardous to animals. Once it's dry you are good to go. I treat indoors as well but I do not spray right around their food and watering area inside the house.

We just went through this. Call the exterminator now. They aren't a diy. Bug. I spent $200 on store bought stuff before I broke down and had the exterminator come for $100.

We had a bad flea problem last Summer. I treated the dogs and tried various yard treatments and nothing seemed to work until I bought a bag of diatomaceous earth at tractor supply. I dusted the areas where they were concentrated and within a couple of days the fleas were gone.

50-50 mixture of white vinegar and water, spray the yard , wont exactly kill all the flea but will deter from coming to the yard, you can also spray the dogs when they go out, deters fleas and ticks, i spray the yard once a week for 4 weeks and no problem with fleas or ticks,
