First hog with my bow

Hit her in the shoulder a little far forward. Didn't get complete pass through. Found intact arrow thanks to lighted nock, had blood from end to end. Picked up trail there and followed for 100 yards or so.

congrats on the pig. its hard to hit one too far forward, their vital organs are much more forward than a deer. in fact if you shoot straight through the shoulder you are where you want to be thats why many people like a quartering away shot. once again congrats on a nice piece of pork.

But, I can't say that it's better than brisket.... there are a couple of things in this world thare nearly impossible to beat. 1) a well prepared brisket 2) Big Azz bowl of vanilla Blue Bell ice cream w/ steaming hot peach cobler..... It'll make ya wanna slap yo mama!!!!

Back in the stand and had a young buck on corn early. 6 more hogs came in and ran him off. Arrow away on another. Same thing as last night, no pass through appears to have stuck in shoulder. Hopefully I'll have same results.
