Hogman, how has the deer movement been where you're hunting? It's extremely slow where I'm hunting.

Last morning for me. Yesterday I finally saw a little forkhorn. He actually walked up within about 50 yards of me. Something is coming in every night and eating all the apples and carrots I'm throwing out. Apparently my camera has crapped out cause I'm not getting any pictures.
Hogman, our land is between Seagraves and Denver city. Where are you hunting?
This year has been a major disappointment. Last year I saw multiple deer literally every hunt. I even got some pictures of a small whitetail buck two mornings in a row about a week after mule deer season ended. This year has been the complete opposite. I'm not sure what happened. We have water, food, and plenty of cover. If deer are on the place they've turned into ninja deer.Last edited by Tx.Fisher; 11-22-2016, 06:33 AM.

Not legally of course, but they can always claim crop deprivation. Not good when the you already have a fragile mule deer population. This year our property was farmed by Mennonites, and the deer sightings have gone down to nothing. Maybe it's all just a coincidence, but last season I saw multiple deer every hunt. This season I saw one deer in 9 hunts.
My buddies big place gets hit hard too though. He has caught lots of folks shooting off the road. They take it VERY serious.

I grew up Mennonite and know lots of Mennonites it's true alot of theme don't care about conservation they see they shoot and waste it's sickening they think it'll pan itself our seasons don't matter but I think they oil field is bad to I cough a oil field worker on oil field land that we hunt right next to that shot a deer and lied to me about it and where I hunt they made a road right on the fence line right aways I had a doe at the water station shot from the left the whole deer lying there I think we need more game Wordens out here

Unfortunately this is what I've heard. We definitely need more Game Wardens out there. They are spread thin. In the 8 years I've been hunting out there I've never once seen one. Last season I counted 18 different deer, with 8 different bucks. This season was a complete turnaround. Something drastic happened on our property.
