We took our 12 year old son Hunter to the doctor this morning. He was drinking a bunch of water the last couple of days and complaining of a stomach ache. Threw up all night Wednesday night. Doctor checked his blood sugar and it was 474. Should be between 60 and 100. EMS came and got fluids started and took him to the ER at the children's hospital. He is stabilizing slowly and looking better every hour. This weekend he was at the ranch with myself and another member and was perfectly normal. Eating as usual and shot the .410 for the first time and loved it. Tuesday and Wednesday he just went downhill quick. Doctor says Type 1 Diabetes and will have to have Insulin shots for the rest of his life. I can gut a deer and not flinch. Seeing them putting in the IV's and drawing blood tore me up.
