Love my wolf, I shoot a 300 grain xtp over 150 grains of 777. It will shoot flat out to 200.

Absolutely. A lot of shooters don't know this trick step.
Thats interesting. Mine shoots absolutely terrible on the second shot

I think it depends on the powder. I've found BH209 likes a dirty barrel but others, like 777, need a clean or almost clean barrel

Also, if your only hunting deer i'd get a .45, much flatter shooting

CVA OPTIMA 50 cal- just bought one yesterday. Shoots great and is easy to clean. YouTube it for a demo.

I have shot a CVA Kodiak Pro Magnum .50 cal for several years. I don't think they make it anymore(not sure on that), but it is deadly accurate. Made a 200 yd shot on a whitetail, and a 180 yd shot on an axis. SHooting 100grns of 777 pellets and 250gr shockwave sabots. Topped off with a Leupold ultimate Slam scope. I love shooting this gun. I can load up to 150 grains of powder, but the 100grains has been so accurate I have stuck with it.

For the record, I did not post the comment at the bottom and it is not within any of the comments from me with this thread. (I'm good with 5-7 shots before I decide to clean the barrel and breach.)

Green mountain barrels, suprised I don't see more people with knights, they all seem to be CVA or TC, lot of Traditions out there too.

Exactly..... This is so cool. I have a 223 barrel for one young kid, and a 308 for the older girl. Its basically a single shot rifle that is so easy to teach your kid how to shoot it.

                            have 3 cva
use triple seven pellets and primer,s harvester bullets/sabots and power belts
good out to 125 yds (just never tried it at 150)

I have the now discontinued Remington ML 700. I can tell you it is a tack driver. If I was wanting a long range ML I would be looking at the Remington 700 Ultimate Muzzle Loader. It uses 200 grains of powder. For best accuracy I would definitely use Power Belt Bullets. I was getting anywhere from 2 inch to 4 inch 3 shot groups with Sabots at 100yds. Changed to Power Belts and I can cover a 3 shot group with a Quarter now.
