Son's first buck 9 years in the making.

We started the Lucky 13 in 2007 with a simple goal in mind. After bouncing around dealing with land owners and hunting leases, we wanted to provide a place for family and friends to hunt. For them to have a good chance at not only seeing deer, but to hopefully provide them with the opportunity to harvest a trophy buck that they may not have had the opportunity to hunt. A place where we could allow family and friends to take their kids on their first hunt, and hopefully see deer and give them the opportunity to grow up loving the outdoors like we do. Never did we imagine that pipe dream from 9 years ago would morph into what we have created. We work really hard all year to create the best whitetail property and to produce the best whitetails we can. The last couple of years we have sold a few hunts, made some new friends, and learned a lot along the way. Saturday afternoon all the hard work, late nights, early mornings, and time away from family paid off when 3 generations of Ballew's were able to experience the youngest, 6 year old Bryar, harvest his first deer. Bryar made a great shot on a management 8 point buck weighing 148 pounds with his crossbow at 24 yards. So blessed to be able to experience that with our family, a memory we will never forget!!
