Please dear Lord please let me be hunting when I'm 80 years old. I don't even have to be killing big deer, just please let me keep enjoying it when I'm as old as this gentleman.

Congratulations to Mr. Holden. That is an incredible buck to take with any weapon, much less a crossbow. This deer should be mounted somewhere where lots of folks can admire him. What a trophy.

Double Down Deer Feed Facebook write up says they estimated this buck at 148" last year. The pictures online of this bucks bases are incredible. God Bless You Mr.H!
Not A Complete Hater But, Did he Not Eat D&D Last year or what?

There's a back button for a reason. Id kill to just ride around and look at those deer while being allowed to hunt some trashy 7 point scoring 105.

You guys need to get a grip and be happy for the man.

I do believe that this feed is good and quite possibly better than most, if not all other protein feeds, if it is fed unlimited and continuous. My personal thoughts are that if you can afford to feed that way, you will see the maximum potential growth in your deer antlers yearly. Take a feed so unresistable that deer gorge themselves on it, keep the feeders full and I suspect you will see antlers like you've never seen on your deer before. Otherwise, pound for pound, DD probably won't give you any better results than any other premier supplemental feed. What I compare in my mind is the return on investment, or inches per pound of feed, including time and fuel. I just can't see the economics of DD in my situation.

Obviously, DD is doing the Holdens good and Mr. Holden has taken back-to-back absolute monster deer. They come at a price that very few of us can afford or maybe "justify" but it works for them. Congrats to Mr. Holden! Fine animals and lots of dedication went into raising such specimens.

I just assumed the half-clipped logo was a watermark that some account on facebook had added that the OP had gotten the picture off of. The second picture is quite clear, though.

Everyone seems to be wearing some kind of logo nowadays, so I really didn't even pay it any mind. Can't imagine that if it was my brand I'd take the picture much differently.

Actually, the thing that stood out to me was how happy he looks to have killed it.
I hear you because is all I saw at first was a great Buck and a big smile !!

Plain and simple that's a deer to be proud of. If I Was lucky enough to harvest it I'd be posting it on every forum. And if I owned the feed that the hunter used to produce it well I guess I'd be just as proud and want the world to know. These forums are a great place for hunters to share their stories, knowledge, successes , failures and sometimes do a little bragging. So I say congratulations to the hunter and the feed you both deserve to brag a little for your accomplishment a 200 inch deer is very special.

Great Buck. Glad to see the guy still hunting. I am sure the feed helps but age and genetics is the biggest factor, at least its low fence. Congrats to Mr Holden.

Red Nunley owned that place, and many more, including the Junco Ranch. Red did not lease out his ranches for hunting. When he died, his grandsons inherited all of it. I was lucky enough to spend some time on some of these ranches when they first begin running commercial hunts or leasing them. Prior to that, governors, U S vice-presidents, congressmen, etc... were all that were allowed to hunt these places, and then only as a guest of Mr. Nunley. Holden has done a good job of managing it, but that place was awesome way before he got there!
