    Hunting Boots

Well, after about 20 years my Danner snake boots lost their sole, no pun intended, and my boot guy cannot repair nor can Dannner. About the same time my warm weather hunting boots wore out. Looking for suggestions on snake boots, do not want lace ups. Also suggestions on warm weather hunting boots.

    Thanks

i've been staring at Russell Moccasins (the prickly pear birdhunters) online for a few days now, but just can't pull the trigger. they're expensive, but they'll repair them for life from what i've read, at a small charge of course.

I bought the Cabelas brand of zip ups and have been satisfied. I pretty much live in them at my lease until it gets cold enough to put the snakes underground.

I have a pair of Russell moccasins and they don't repair mine for free. Have had to send them back twice. Stitching coming undone. And stitching that goes around the toe wearing out do to walking through weeds, brush. They charge plenty to repair and it takes for ever to get them back. And you pay shipping both ways. And I only wear them 7 days a year, pig hunting down there. Have had them for four years. Most expensive boots I've bought, and had the most trouble with any boot I've bought. I would like to know where you read they fix for free ? Pm me if you would, please.

I love these and you don't have to take out a loan to pay for them.

                I'm a female... but I've always worn men's boots.

I have both Lacrosse Alphaburly rubber boots for when I'm hunting archery and I have Lacrosse Men's Adder Snake boots... both are super comfortable and most of my male friends were the ones who suggested them. I love both and they didn't break my bank.

Danners are some of my favorites because they are super comfortable and I've worn them both for hunting and for police work... but I wanted to try these and am pretty happy!!!

I prefer Danner as well, they just don't make that style of snake boot anymore.

I said they'd repair them for life, for a small charge (not for free). But after reading this, I'm not spending that much on boots if they tear up like you described.

Sorry should have read it better. But I had them resoled and stitching replaced. And they charged me 165.00 plus shipping. Said if would take a couple weeks and it was about four months to get them back.

Just bought these Chippewa boots and they have a zipper in the back. I didn't want any more lace ups either. Justin makes a few pairs that have a side zipper and they are a little less than the Chips too.

I tried those but they're too tight on my calf muscles. I sure do like the boots
                            but had to return them.
