Has anyone on the green screen ever worked for Halliburton and can tell me anything about the company or about the position of being a Operator Assistant Frac/acid?
Have you read any reviews on Glassdoor? I've heard that they have a really good training program, but most of the operators usually went to other service companies after a while for one reason or another.
Not the highest paying company but lots of hours and great training. Learn as much as you can and then keep your eyes and ears open for more lucrative positions
I interviewed with them this morning. They never told me pay. Only complaint I had is if we are between wells and working in the shop they won't pay for hotel/housing. They also don't pay for mileage from my house to the shop before going on a job.
I can tell you a little about it, I worked there in frac for about a year and a half out of Odessa. All I'll say here is Smithwr is spot on in his assessment, I sure hope your Hispanic and speak Spanish, PM if you'd like and can go into detail
Worked for them over 15 years ago. I always said best training company in the world. Pay is good not excellent. Big company with a lot of rules and rigidity. You are just a number to them.

Question.
Did you expect them to pay for you to drive to the shop or live somewhere while OFF the clock?!?! I can assure you, Weatherford and many others don't pay for that.

Yea not many will pay you for mileage to the shop. You can't even claim that on tax returns legally.

if the shop is your main workplace but you have to go to a rig/job site elsewhere you have some options (consult your tax planner/CPA first to make sure you qualify)
.
if you travel to and from a temporary work location (where your assignment is expected to last no more than 1 year) outside your metropolitan area, you can claim commuting expenses. You can also claim commuting expenses to and from a temporary work site, regardless of location, as long as your main workplace is elsewhere.
You're also allowed to deduct commuting expenses between multiple job sites during the same day. For example, if you go directly from your day job to your evening job, you can deduct the commute between those 2 job sites. But if you first go home and then leave to go to your second job, that can't be deducted

My last company would pay .56 cents a mile when we crew changed and when we would come work in the shop because things were slow they would put us in a hotel. I wasn't sure haha
They dont have man camps? They sure used to. Cant be picky in this market right now
Yes, if in Odessa they do have a mancamp. When hired they will tell you they only put you up for 30 days but don't believe it. This was my first job in oil/gas and took it to heart, so moved out there when i took the job. There was guys living there before i started and still there when i left for another service company a year and a half later.
