    Trinity County Buck

I posted a few pics of this buck last night on the Official East Texas thread but they were bad quality. I finally got them downloaded and was curious what yall think?
He is pretty unique and i would love to take him but i doubt he makes AR. I would have to see exactly how big he is in person, but by the pictures, i doubt he makes it. There was only one pic of him at 7 am but the fog had it real blurry. Everything else has been at night, from sparring with other bucks to actually breeding a doe under the feeder. He is deff the dominant buck in the area and saw lots of small 8's and spikes at the feeder.

    Any idea on his age?

I don't play the age game (something .5) but I agree that he wouldn't make AR.

They are rutting pretty hard at the moment. I nearly hit a nice 10pt on the highway last night. He ran a doe right out in front of my truck and i ended up going between the two. Luckily he stopped.

That IS a cool looking buck! If you could measure up and down, he'd for dang sure go over 13"!! side to side, it will be close, but don't look like he makes it. He's close to mature if not fully mature. My first impression from the pics when I saw them on the other thread was 4 1/2, and I still think that is probably about right. He might go 5 1/2 but I for sure don't think he'd go 3 1/2. His neck is filled out all the way to his brisket. He has a deep jowly face, rounded hind quarters and a slightly sway'd back. If when you see him in person you think based on his large body size and ears, he makes 13", I'd shoot him in a heartbeat!
            Good luck!

If you would like to take him, send a pic to your GW. He might give you the on him being he is very mature.

Mature 5.5 or older but won't make 13" inches.

Knowing the distance from the camera to the feeder, and the height of the motor (it hits me right at the face and i'm 6'1) i have hope that he makes it.
I just cant get over that dagger G2

Not helping that he has a floppy left ear that won't stand all the way up. He's closer than a lot of you think

I think he is 5.5 or so but honestly think he is only 12.5". I would contact game warden in your area...
