    Hunters are to blame!!!

Is this how they are going to try to stop hunting??? The best line of the story is people need to eat less meat to save the animals. Of course they blame a lot of things of destroying animals in nature, but definitely attacking hunters and meat eaters.

Of course they fail to mention hunters and fishermen do more to conserve wildlife than anyone else.

I had a goofy *** teacher when I was in elementary school tell us that the dinosaurs went extinct because man polluted the water. She was old and still goofy about Enviro stuff.

I read a quote once. It was something like... The only true way to affect man's impact on the environment is to kill yourself.
Just by living and breathing we affect the environment. I think its great to take sensible measure to help the environment, but there is nothing we can do to truly protect it.

Not sure how you got that out of the article. What I got was is that there are too many humans. Time for mother nature to cull the heard back a little.

They talk about elephants and gorillas, thats not hunters doing that. They need to learn what a poacher is.

sounds to me like Global warming has run over into global conservation..... and Al Gore is leading the charge.

I had to click on a couple of the embedded links in there to figure out how in the heck the article was blaming hunters. One of the links goes to another article stating that animals used for "bush meat" are being hunted to dangerously low population levels in places where human populations have increased.

The 2/3 reduction in the opening line says it all and over reaction by readers get things all out of whack. It would actually only be a 9% reduction over 8 years. This is also a World study not a US or North America study.

Thinking this is not relevant for the U.S., and probably Canada also, due to our conservative attitude towards wildlife and the environment in general. Another point to ponder is that hunter pressure is not the only factor. Habitat loss would probably be the biggest factor in North America, and that should be addressed before hunting pressure. But we all know that the Libs will use hunting as a weapon before they pay any attention to Loss of habitat. Another reason to vote them suckers out !!!!!!!

The way mankind's population is exploding in 3rd world countries, China, India, etc, they gotta eat, and if they can't grow protein, they are gonna get their bush meat.
