Going under the knife at noon

I am going to miss my right kidney, been attached to it for over 53 years but doctor says it needs to go.

Me and that Kidney been through a lot together but it went and grew a mass of something that is not good for its twin on the left side.

Funny how your whole life changes in a split second. How the little things just don't matter as much as we build them up to be.

    Mike

Are they doing robotic, or cut you open and remove by hand ??

My wife had a Partial nephroctomy 4 weeks ago,, with the robot. She has recovered well, but still sore. Will find out in 6 months if they got all the cancer out.

Sending a prayer up for you, and the surgeons and staff.

Mike, hope they got it before it metastasized. I wasn't so lucky. Had a small tumor on my spine, that turned into big back surgery, then the left kidney came out. So far, so good.

Living with only one kidney isn't hard, but you must take care of it, don't get dehydrated. Good luck, the kidney surgery wasn't too bad.

Mike, they removed my left kidney last September due to cancer. I just got back from my 1 year check, everything looks good.
