That comment surprised me too. Say what you will about him off the field or being injury prone. He was a good back when healthy

In 2010 he ran for 1,616 yards. That's nowhere near the worse back in the league. That year he was one of the best.

[emoji57]4 pro bowls, leading rushing yards and touchdowns in the NFL one year, Texans all time leading rusher, and did all that behind a line that couldn't hold back an angry table of senior citizens

        Saw this on Twitter:

Arian Foster averaged 110.9 scrimmage yards per game, 5th most in NFL history among players with 80 games played.

Arian is one of the top 3 greatest players in Texans history along with Andre Johnson and JJ Watt. It's a shame that he had so many injuries. Dude could ball.

Don't believe the stats OP. He was the worst back in the league and decent at best

I say we sign him for one game to retire as a Texan. But give him a couple carries just to make sure he is done. Lol. You can hate a person for their personality and beliefs. But that dude balled out in htown. He should of never stopped eating meat though. Mostly because it's delicious.

He had a couple good seasons with Houston and everyone thought he was the next Earl Campbell and we all saw how fast that train derailed. Yes he played in the NFL, something most can't ever say, but he was decent at best. Just my .02

                        No body ever said this.

There will never be another Earl Campbell, Sanders, Brown, Payton, Smith and the likes.

He had some good years here. No one drafted him and they took a chance on him. It payed off while it lasted.

I won't go the religious route to his demise. I think the wheels fell off when he got that big contract, became way too vocal in the media, knocked up that young gal and his injuries caught up to him.

You should have left Smith off that list. Even Foster could have rushed for Smiths yards behind the O-line he had.

I can believe that people said that. I have already heard people stating E. Elliot is the best back to ever play the game and will go down as such. After only 6 games. People get excited and say stupid things.

But....nobody else did. I'm not a Cowboys fan, but I don't know how anybody could not be a fan of Emmitt Smith. He was a helluva back and his records bear that out.

He was great when he was healthy. Best wishes to him and his next career.
