I am being told its a Colt 223 hbar for 500.00

I bought one about 15 years ago from a guy for $900 brand new. He bought it for $1700 his wife told him to get rid of it so he sent a few rounds through it before taking it back. The gun shop told him they would only give him $900 because he shot it. So trying to get one over on the shop he left and sold it elsewhere for $900. I was offered $2700 for it with in months after I purchased it. Ive been told since then don't ever let that gun go. So as long as its in good working order and not shot out then you are stealing that gun IMO. Ive recently purchased a Colt Competition Gen II. Gonna outfit with a suppressor and thermal scope.
Don't let that one get away. As long as everything is on the up and up.Comment

My friend said the guy did not have paperwork or info on it, even he thought it was hot after that conversation with his friend. The guy with gun would not give ser# out over phone, so I passed on it.
